GAME: Credit where it’s due

Admittedly I’ve not always been complimentary when discussing GAME in recent years, but I do like to give credit where it’s due.

On Thursday morning, my mum – in a bit of a panic – informed me that, on Tuesday, she’d bought me £100 worth of PSN top-up vouchers for Christmas. Unfortunately, she had lost the receipts with the codes, and wasn’t sure what to do.

Anyway, to cut the longer story short, we phoned the store, who weren’t able to supply the codes, but the manager was able to give us the transaction number from the cash register. Armed with that, we tried calling the Customer Service number… but found it virtually impossible to get through. So I sent an e-mail via the contact form on the website, explaining what had happened and providing the transaction number.

Within an hour, we had an email reply, which provided all of the codes contained in the transaction. As you can imagine, mum was pretty relieved that she hadn’t effectively lost £100.

So a big thanks from both of us to the manager and staff at @GAMEWestonFav and the Customer Service staff at @GAMEdigital for their help in this matter; it’s very much appreciated.
